welcome to the journal
Ten years behind the lens, and not a word of it written down. Plenty of saved images, plenty of stories replayed on the drive home, but nothing on the page.
That changes now.
What this is
A simple journal. Mostly short reads, a few hundred words at a time, though some I may go on a bit longer with. It could be about a property that caught me off guard, a technique I keep reaching for, something about working with clients across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie over the years, or maybe just a bit of advice and encouragement for other photographers along the way, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran.
Think of it like notes I'd pass to a friend over coffee, or the occasional full blown passionate write up, or rant. Just written down instead.
What it's not
No sponsored posts. No content calendar built around keywords. If a week goes by with nothing worth saying, nothing goes up.
How often
One or two a month, roughly. Quality over quantity.
If any of it's useful to you, whether you're an agent, an owner, a host, or another photographer, that's a bonus. The first proper post is already up. It's about dusk shoots, why they matter for a listing, and how to prepare. Worth a read.
